The arts engage students at multiple levels, make learning more interesting, and facilitate the absorption of new information. Therefore, The Arts Partnership believes strongly in promoting education in and through the arts for all ages. We provide many opportunities throughout the year for people of all ages to demonstrate their skills and deepen their knowledge and understanding of the arts.
Arts in Education Steering Committee
An advisory committee of teachers, school administrators, artists, arts organization representatives, parents, business people and other interested community members reviews information from completed programs to ensure effectiveness and provides input on the planning for future programs and services . This committee meets quarterly during the school year.
Professional Development Workshops
The Arts Partnership, Findlay City Schools, Hancock County Schools and The University of Findlay are members of the Partners in Education program of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Selected because of their demonstrated commitment to the improvement of education in and through the arts, the partnership team participates in nationally recognized collaborative efforts to make the arts integral to education across the state and nation. Professional development opportunities are offered to teachers three times yearly to promote arts-infused learning in the classroom. Please contact us for more information about our upcoming workshops and seminars.
