THANK YOU to everyone who auditioned for The Mouse That Roared. We all appreciated the opportunity to meet you and were pleased with the quality of your auditions. We look forward to working with you on this production!
Remember, ALL assignments must be accepted or refused by 8 a.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2010, by e-mailing education@artspartnership.com and indicating YOUTHEATRE RESPONSE in the Subject line.
All youth participating in the production (as on-stage cast member or technical crew member) and their parents must attend a mandatory meeting on Thursday, September 2, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Great Room at First Presbyterian Church. Informational packets will be handed out at this time and questions will be answered. A read-through of the script will continue for the on-stage cast members from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
During the read-through, on-stage actors and actresses will be measured for costumes. Each on-stage cast member needs to bring his or her shirt or blouse, jacket, shoe, pants or jeans, and dress (girls) size to this meeting. Technical crew members and parents will meet briefly to review tasks and sign up for work shifts. All on-stage cast and technical crew members and their parents are invited to help construct and paint the set.
In addition, there are several other opportunities for all parents to volunteer. Please bring your calendars so that you can sign up to help!
All youth who are part of the on-stage cast are asked to pay a $50 fee and those who are working on the technical crew are asked to pay a $25 fee. This fee includes a T-shirt and script for the student. In addition, the fee includes costs associated with production of the show, including, but not limited to, instructional costs, props, set construction, artistic rights, lighting, sound, costumes, cast party, and administration costs such as ticketing and publicity. Scholarships and payment plans are available for these fees. Please see Peggy Grandbois after the Parent Meeting to make any arrangements.
